The Edwardian Ball 2022- April 1st and 2nd

Nigh impossible to describe, but absolutely delightful to experience. The Edwardian Ball is an elegant and whimsical celebration of art, music, theatre, fashion, technology, circus, and the beloved creations of the late, great author and illustrator Edward Gorey.

Set in a re-imagined “Edwardian Era,” this multi-city, multi-media extravaganza has grown over the past TWENTY-TWO years from an underground club party into an internationally recognized festival of the arts, now operating with the blessing of The Edward Gorey Charitable Trust.

Attendees traveling from across the nation and from all corners of the globe flock to this West Coast celebration for a delightful blend of ballroom dancing, live music, riveting stage shows, DJs and dancing, fine art installations, an award-winning vendor bazaar, mystical and nonsensical oddities, absinthe cocktails, steam machinery, parlor games, alluring sideshows, and much more. All ages are welcome and appropriate in this darkly humorous and elegant setting, where literary aficionados rub elbows with chimney sweeps, where the sensual meets the bizarre, where historically accurate Edwardian re-creationists waltz through the steam-powered tea garden… where the only guiding rule is that you join in on the fun!

NYC for my Birthday- May 4th- 8th

There is no better present that I can think of than performing and there is no better city I can think of to perform in than New York City. So I will be taking a trip across the country to visit my NYC friend to perform on some amazing stages. As soon as I have a dedicated performance schedule I will post it for you all.

2020 The Noire Pageant Princess of Burlesque

The Noire Pageant is the only burlesque pageant dedicated to uplifting the POC community through healing and opportunity.

The Noire Pageant, the first pageant to exclusively showcase POC burlesque performers, took place in New York City March 12-15, 2020. The seductive and scintillating weekend affair brought together world-renowned headliners from across the globe, along with a bevy of talented performers who competed to be crowned the next King or Queen of Burlesque.

The pageant’s organizer, Perle Noire, created the event to present, preserve and proliferate POC burlesque performers and their legacy of excellence and innovation. “Burlesque Pageants have been around for decades, but there aren’t many Performers of Color who have been crowned or celebrated. I believe it’s time for a change.” Noire, who is also a burlesque star, says her mission is to “create opportunities for the POC (Performers of Color) burlesque community. I want to create a platform to help them become headliners, educators, and savvy entrepreneurs.”

Kiki la Chanteuse was awarded the title of the 2020 Noire Pageant Princess of Burlesque.
